About us

Kia ora, we're IAWAI. You might not know the name yet, but you will: We're your water services delivery team across Hamilton City and Waikato District: 100% focused on water. 100% yours.

From Hillcrest to Huntly, Nawton to Ngaaruawaahia, Te Rapa to Tuakau, Raglan to Pookeno, we're the crew behind every tap, every flush, every drop that keeps your home and business running. Water is easy to take for granted.

Until something goes wrong. No morning shower. No coffee from your local café. No business opening its doors.

Behind every drop is a team making sure that doesn't happen and that's us. We're not new to this. The infrastructure, the people, the work it's all still here. What's new is the focus. One team, one kaupapa, entirely dedicated to safeguarding water for now and for generations to come.

Nau mai. Welcome to IAWAI. Life runs on water.
